**EXTRA EXTRA!** Yummy Smells for Sale

Don't ya love how I don't blog at all...and then two posts in less than 24 hours!?
Because I love a good deal...I wanted to call your attention to a great coupon on Yankee Candles...Buy 2 Get 2 Free!!!!!  Although I have already done some damage on Bath & Body Works fall candles, there's still nothing like a classic large jar candle from Yankee.

I picked these up at my local Bath & Body Works. The candles are 25% off there right now, so $20.99 for the large jars.  For just under $42 I got four large jars...that about $10.50/each.  Pretty hard to find these for any less than that!!!

I am thinking maybe this is an annual offer from Yankee as I realized I did a post on it last year.  I believe I gave a couple of the candles as gifts and kept a couple for myself!!!  If you bring one to Thanksgiving dinner...someone will love you!!

You can find some tips on where the coupon can be used and the coupon by clicking here.  Of course, there is a catch -- the last day for the coupon is tomorrow, 9/28!!!!!
(Sorry, I just got mine yesterday!)

Run, don't walk to your local Yankee, Hallmark, Bed Bath & Beyond or
other participating store!!!
What's your favorite fall scent????????

No Plans Today?? How 'bout a HOT Deal??

I will make this quick 'cause you gotta go...  Many Targets went 90% off today on Holiday clearance. Of my four closest Targets, two were 90, two still 70%.  I called and if you are nice, they will tell you on the phone the percentage.  You may remember I posted some of my 50% off deals here.      However, my main reason for posting is to share this hidden HOT deal that my cousin and Aunt shared with me a few days ago.  In fact, it was so HOT, I made my purchase at 70% off ($14.99 each)....but the good news for you is, if you're lucky, you can now pick it up for 90% off.  I've been eyeing these Rachel Ray dishes for awhile, but could never quite bring myself to buy them, even when there was a good Kohl's sale and some good Kohl's cash.  But, wait no more!!!!  It is currently scanning at Target for $4.99 (regularly $49.99).  This item is "hidden".  No clearance sign, no clearance area, no special tags.  Just scanning at 90% off!!!  Awesome, right!?
Here are the other items I got today at 90% off.  I have been to Target several times this past week.  I did not post my 70% off shopping trip.  However, if you REALLY want to see someone who shops Target....visit www.ramblingsofasuburbanmom.com my cousin, Jennifer's blog!!!!!!

Snowman sugar bowl .49
Blingy zipper pouches .80
Hello Kitty Christmas shirts .99
"Believe" shirts .99
Glass snowman ornaments .80
ELF nail polish .19
Wreath Holder .50

I am curious...  If you make it to Target, let me know if you get any goodies.  Also, I'd love to know if anyone else gifts themself (or someone else) the Rachel Ray set!!!!!????

Oh, It's a Jolly Holiday at...Target

I interrupt this otherwise relaxing holiday spent with family and friends to show you the small stash of goods I picked up at Target today...50 percent off clearance.
My husband and I were out doing errands and visiting my mom.  I somehow talked him into popping into Target because it was...there.  I told him I would only look at holiday things.  Well, I combed through pretty well and here is the small stash I came up with.  I wasn't looking for anything specific.

From left to right:

Tubes of jewel toned ornaments from dollar spot     1.00                   .30
Star shaped ornament collections                             5.00                 2.50
     Goldfish crackers                                                       3.69                 1.54
     Snowflake paper punch                                           15.00                 7.50
     Wine chiller/ice bucket                                             20.00                 9.98
Silver Star Tree Topper                                           10.00                 5.00
     Black/Silver sequined clutch purse                          16.99               11.88
Jewel Toned tealight votives                                    10.00                 5.00
     Wilton Cookie Mold                                                    6.99                 3.49
     Rudolph Sticky Notes                                                 1.00                   .30
Colgate Winter Watermelon Toothpaste                    2.99                 1.49

This particular Target was a little less picked over than "my" usual Target.  This is the first time I have ever seen a Wilton mold pan at clearance, but I probably do not usually go when things are 50 percent off...I prefer 70 percent or more.  I also like the clutch purse and wine chiller.  The shelves will clear much faster once the clearance hits 70 or more so you take your chances.  I was kinda proud I figured out the Goldfish were $1.54 --  I guess because Mr. Goldfish has a Santa hat on.  Many of my finds were on endcaps away from the normal clearance stuff.  It's fun...if you have young kids you can really clean up...as I did back in the day!!
One thing I discovered is that my husband is less seasoned in helping "scan" items for me than my kids.  My kids are great at running back and forth to the scanner.  I found out my husband was going to a scanner much further away than necessary (was wondering why it was taking so long, ha!).  He was not as "into" it as I had hoped.  He did, however, encourage a few of my frivolous purchases.
Have you been out and about clearance shopping?  I might go back in a day or two...without kids/husbands!!!

I Behaved at the Target Halloween Clearance!!

I knew there was nothing I "needed" at the Target Halloween clearance (which was at 70% off Sunday).  However, I am always curious!!  There is one near my mom's place, so when we visited we swung by.  There was a decent amount of stuff, but it's always better when your kids are younger...  Mine aren't.
I ended up having Jacob and Kristin with me.  Here's what we decided to get:
          • 2 Popcorn Mix tins $2.99                   (reg. $9.99)
          • 2 Angry Bird Pajama Bottoms $5.09 (reg. $16.99)
          • Owl t-shirt $2.99                                (reg. $9.99)
          • M & M Pretzels* $1.49                        (reg. $2.99)
          • M & Ms $1.49                                    (reg. $2.99)
          • Reeses $2.74                                     (reg $5.49)
TOTAL $25.00 (approx.)
SAVINGS  $50 (approx.)

Definitely a good time to get some of your candies for holiday cookies!!  90% off should be right around the corner!!

Freebies 101

Yep, it's been awhile but I thought I would catch you up on my latest "freebies".  If you've been following, you know the drill.  I try to follow www.hip2save.com which is where I get the info on deals and freebies (another shout out to Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for the tip).  Often, it is just a matter of "liking" something on Facebook and then providing your address.  It's kinda fun...and if I don't feel like it or don't want the item then obviously just don't do it!!

I'm kind of excited about my US weekly magazine subscription.  I got a one year subscription for filling out a marketing survey (while watching tv).  Pretty easy!!  It's also where I learned of the recent Yankee Candle coupon which I mentioned here.  You can check out some of the other stuff I have scored here.
In fact, if you go right now to this link you can try for a coupon for your own free bag of Lindt chocolate truffles -- ya know you want to!!

Never Too L8 For Some Retail Therapy!!

Hey out there!!  This mom has been sooooooooo swamped lately...volleyball, soccer, football, marching band, dog groomer, taking my mom to the doctor!!!  I needed to do something that was just for me!!  So, until someone gives me a free week at the spa, I decided to do the next best thing...(it's the little things people!)
I remembered seeing this awesome deal on that great website my cousin told me about.  I mean c'mon, Buy 2 Get 2 Yankee Candles!!??  Got me wondering if the Kohl's 2 miles from my house would take that coupon since going to the mall would be a bigger production than I had time for.
So, I called those Kohl's people (love Kohl's) and was told they do take those coupons.  Decided to head right over there at 9:30 pm tonight and scored four Yankee Candles for $21 something (w/tax)!!!  They were 25 percent off, so $19.99 each for the large tumblers and I happened to have $20 in Kohl's cash.
I got two Hot Cider, one Autumn Pumpkin and one Absolutely Autumn for those keeping score.
Ya might wanna check it out!!!

Freebies 101

I received quite a variety of stuff in my mailbox these last few weeks by working those "freebies" on www.hip2save.com.  I found out about that website from my cousin awhile back and have enjoyed dabbling in signing up for the various freebies that become available by following the website.  Those iced coffees are pretty good -- and so are the hot tea flavors!!
I already have another post started with another round of Freebies because they just keep coming in!!  Have any of you signed up for any freebies lately or just found a great deal?? Doesn't everyone like to receive "fun mail"?  I'd love to know!!

What's the Deal at Old Navy?

I stumbled on this pretty darn good Clearance sale at Old Navy today.  After I saw it, I remembered someone posting it on www.hip2save.com a few days ago.  Although I did not make a special trip for it, I did end up purchasing a few items.  Afterall, I have two girls and we are always looking for inexpensive gifts and fun accessories.
Everything on these racks was $1.99, plus I got another 10 percent off because I have one of those Old Navy coupons that gives you 10 percent.  Oh, and I might have got a few other things that got me over $25 which then got me a coupon for $10 off my next purchase in September.  So, not too bad!!
The cashier told me they would be pulling the items on Wednesday at my store and that they have this clearance twice a year.  I do not frequent Old Navy, but probably would if there was one closer!
Ya might wanna check it out -- I might go back since I was in a rush and now I wish I would have tried on some of those sunglasses (since I'm always breaking or losing them!!).

Why Yes I Did Go to 3 Targets Today!

As a quick follow up to yesterday's post, after going to 3 more Targets today, I ended up with some more lanterns (think gift giving) and this lovely patio coffee table which was 70 percent off.  Not all stores are marked down yet and every store has a different selection, quantity and discount, but you sure can score a great deal!
After being out in this 90 something muggy weather, I need to get some ice cold cocktails on that table asap!!!  Hope you find something you can use at your Target!!!

What's the Deal on Friday??!!

Today I was awakened out of my heat coma when I read Melissa's blog over at 320 Sycamore.  She mentioned her Target as having marked down some things to 70 percent.  I snapped out of my heat coma long enough to know that at some point today I would have to check it out.
I am never sure if "my Target" will have their stuff marked down since they do not all mark down the same percentage at the same time.  I was happy, however, when I found these items at 70 percent off:

Smith & Hawken Lanterns 29.99 marked down to 8.98 (I got 2)
                                             19.99 marked down to 5.98  (I got 3)
Outdoor Throw Pillows 12.99 marked down to 3.88 (I got 3)
10x10 Gazebo Replacement Canopy 59.99 marked down to 17.70

Like Melissa's store, mine did not have their other summer items marked down yet.  I was glad to grab these things as the quantities were minimal and I can almost guarantee they will be gone from my Target by Monday, if not by the end of today.  After the high winds we just had, I was especially glad to grab my replacement canopy for the gazebo I got on a great deal last year!!  That thing takes a beating in the heat, rain and windy weather.
I am tempted to hit another Target or two tomorrow and actually would have considered going tonight had I not had some friends coming over.  Those friends probably saved me a lot of $$$$!!!!!  Let me know if you find anything good at your Target -- now I'm on a mission!!!

5 Lanterns, 3 Throw Pillows, Replacement Canopy, Paper Cups and Flags all for about $67

Freebies 101

Welcome to yet another edition of Freebies 101.  I scored some pretty good freebies the last few weeks which you can check out below.  Virtually all of my tips on these freebies were from www.hip2save.com.   It's usually a matter of filling out your name and address and often "liking" different products on Facebook.
This month, even my "Lucky" dog got a freebie sample of trail mix.  I also look forward to trying out that Febreze car freshener!
I already have another post started with another round of Freebies -- perhaps (even) more exciting than this group!  Have any of you signed up for any freebies lately or just found a great deal??  I'd love to know!!
