With all of the nice weather we have been having, of course the kids have been outside more. Over the weekend, Jacob asked Kristin to play catch with him. Kristin does not even have a baseball mitt, but Jacob took care of that and they went outside.
My husband and I happened to be in the living room and my husband saw the ball hit my car.... You know where this is going, right? Did I mention I rarely park in the driveway, they rarely play catch, and they rarely play in the front yard. I was expecting a dent in my car. I saw Kristin walk by the window with a shocked look on her face...and then we all saw this!
Wow, maybe we should sign that girl up!? I guess it was a "wild" throw. Kristin felt sooooo bad. I tried to make light of it by taking her picture and being the crazy blogger mom. We also told her she must have quite an arm. As you can tell, she was on the verge of tears. Her dad removed the glass and she helped vacuum and sweep up the pieces
Then I told everyone the good news...our insurance covered it and we called the "Glass Doctor" and got it all fixed on Monday. Ironic, all those years parking at baseball fields with balls flying all over the place and this never happened. What are the odds -- right there in your own driveway by your own sweet little girl!! I still wonder how fast that ball was going...
And then this happened....
