One of the reasons I started this blog was because I followed my cousin's blog and enjoyed reading it. Well, she just happens to be someone who is great at entering and winning sweepstakes and saving money. While I do LOVE a good deal, often I am not willing to put the time and effort it takes to find them. So, I have been dabbling in one of the websites she follows (http://www.hip2save.com/) to see what it's all about.
So far, I only take advantage of the stuff that is really totally free, and I have also ordered a couple of very inexpensive magazine subscriptions. If it says "print a coupon here"...I don't even do it...it would have to be really good! (Yes, bringing my laptop to the printer is work to me! LOL) Here is what I have received so far in the past month or so, and I have to say it is kinda fun getting free stuff in the mail to try...
When I was a kid, I remember companies used to send out waaaaaay more free samples when introducing new products, and you didn't even have to do anything. Nowadays, it seems, you have to do thinks like "Like" them on Facebook or fill out some information before they send you their stuff. That's ok, since I just do it in my free time anyways. I have also been informed by those "in the know" that the reason I don't "win" anything is because I don't.....ENTER anything!! Baby steps, right!?
Here's what I got so far...has anyone tried any of this stuff or do you know of any good websites for freebie stuff and deals??
